Train Paris Caen

Caen is in north-western France and is the largest city in Lower Normandy. It is a modern city, four-fifths of which were rebuilt in the 1950s and 1960s. A visit not to miss is the Memorial of Caen, which tells the story of the 20th century from the Second World War to the fall of the Berlin Wall. Described as a “surprising hidden gem”, La Colline aux Oiseaux is a lovely place to take a relaxing stroll with its flowers and rose gardens.

The 11th Century former abbey church, Abbaye aux Hommes is also worth a visit and no-one should miss William the Conqueror's Castle in the centre of the city.

Train travel: a new way to visit Caen Try travelling by train from Paris to Caen : the journey takes nearly 2 hrs. The train takes you directly from Saint Lazare station to Caen. Different tramway lines are accessible not far from the train station: B and A. The station of Caen is centrally located in Caen.
